Legendary Indian pacer wants BCCI to take very strict action against Harmanpreet Kaur: “she is not bigger than the game”

Madan Lal, a 1983 World Cup champion, reacted angrily at Harmanpreet Kaur’s on-field antics during and after the third ODI against Bangladesh. When the umpire called her out during the series-clinching game, Harmanpreet reacted violently. After being LBW, she pounded the stumps and disputed with the umpire, indicating that the ball had really struck the bat first. The two teams split the trophy after a draw resulted in the game.

In the post-match presentation, the Indian captain again attacked the umpires, calling some of their rulings “pathetic.” As the trophy match finished in a tie, Harmanpreet took it a step further during the picture opportunity with the trophy. She invited the umpires to participate in the picture shoot as well, designating them as members of the Bangladesh team. Nigar Sultan, the captain of Bangladesh, was not pleased with Harmanpreet’s behavior and instructed her team to leave the practice.<img decoding=”async” loading=”lazy” class=”alignnone wp-image-92698″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/theindiaprint.com-download-2023-07-24t175840.201.jpg” alt=”” width=”995″ height=”668″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/theindiaprint.com-download-2023-07-24t175840.201.jpg 274w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/theindiaprint.com-download-2023-07-24t175840.201-150×101.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 995px) 100vw, 995px” />

Madan Lal, a legendary Indian bowler, expressed displeasure with Harmanpreet’s actions and said that she was not greater than the game.

“Harmanpreet’s behavior against the women’s team from Bangladesh was awful. She does not outweigh the competition. She gave Indian cricket a very poor reputation. He tweeted that BCCI should implement extremely stringent disciplinary measures.

Nigar, the captain of Bangladesh, declined to say why she left the game but did tell her Indian opponent to behave “better.”

“It’s all her fault. During a media interview, Nigar was cited as stating, “I have nothing to do with that. She may have shown greater etiquette as a player. I’m not sure what transpired, but having my crew present for the shot didn’t seem right. It wasn’t the appropriate setting. That is why we returned. Cricket is a sport that requires respect and discipline.
