<p>After their amazing victory against Australia in the current ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, the Indian men’s cricket team’s changing room was a joyful place to be. <p>India recovered from being 2/3 and completed the 200-run chase in 41.2 overs to earn their first points of the 2023 World Cup, which kicked off last week with New Zealand crushing reigning champions England in Ahmedabad.</p>
<p>India won their opening match of the tournament after bowling Australia out for 199 runs and putting up a 165-run fourth wicket partnership between KL Rahul and Virat Kohli.</p>
<p>The Indian cricket team posted a video of a brief medal ceremony honoring the game’s greatest fielder on their Instagram page.</p>
<p>Before selecting Kohli for the award, India’s fielding coach T Dilip praised the work of Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer and presented the first-ever fielding medal.</p>
<p>In order to show off his trophy to his adoring teammates, Kohli took a bite out of the medal after asking Dilip to hang it around his neck.</p>
<p>“At long last, we received a fielding prize. Ishan, amazing diving in today’s game,” commented Dilip.</p>
<p>Ishan was mocked by Hardik Pandya with the phrase “tera nahi hai” (Not yours).</p>
<p>The fielding coach went on, “Shreyas was outstanding with two catches,” to thunderous applause.</p>
<p>“One topic we often discuss is consistency. One catch, general intensity, or backing up are not the issues. Along with doing your duties, it’s important to support and maintain the proper fielders in their positions. Virat gets this one,” Dilip said.</p>
<p>Earlier in the game, Kohli took a superb diving catch in the slips to dismiss Australia’s opener Mitchell Marsh for 0 and was outstanding the whole game, which was played in the stifling heat of Chennai.</p>
<p>Then, Kohli excelled with the bat as well, scoring 85 runs to be a crucial part of his team’s successful world cup debut.</p>
