India recovered from a humiliating loss in Hyderabad last week to take a 0-1 lead in the current five-match Test series against England at home. On the fourth day of the second Test in Vizag, the team captained by Rohit Sharma easily defeated the opposition by 106 runs, tying the series at one.

India, two-time WTC finalists, had been ranked second in the points table before into the series, but their loss knocked them out of the top three and into fifth place.

With their most recent victory raising their point percentage to 52.77, they have recovered to take back the top spot. Australia, the world champions, are still in first place with a 55 point percentage.

However, England is still middling in seventh place.
